The architectural element that extends horizontally at the ceiling-wall junction in interior decoration is called plasterboard. Aside from concealing the irregularities in the wall-ceiling junctions, plasterboard completes and enriches the aesthetics of the space by filling it. It can be used as a crown on a fireplace or cabinet, as a detail that gives form to hidden light foreheads, as a headboard on columns.
